Modern, Innovative Styles
Woolrich is the oldest outerwear company in the world. Est. in 1830 by John Rich, who left Liverpool in search of the ‘American Dream’. John settled in Pennsylvania (just outside of New York), where he set up a woollen mill. Woolrich initially started making blankets for the American Civil War. The brand was so successful, that John consequently employed all who lived in the town, and as gratitude the town remained itself to Woolrich. The original woollen mill still stands and is used to this day and is where all of Woolrich’s archives can be found. Skip forward a century, and the introduction of the Arctic Parka found its way into fruition, and quickly became a revisited icon of the Woolrich collection. The Arctic Parka was originally engineered for the workers of the Alaskan pipe line to protect them from hash weather conditions. Woolrich are committed to delivering modern, authentic and innovative styles with purpose. Their 200 year long history of being pioneers of outerwear establishes a recognisable longevity that is true to its American roots.
