Winter Sun with Sunglass Hut
UV rays don’t take winter off and just as experts advise wearing SPF throughout the year they also recommend keeping a pair of sunglasses to hand.
Winter gives us a unique set of lighting conditions that are different to summer from bright, low-lying sun on clear days to the chance of intense glare from stark white snow.

Starting as we mean to go on these oversized frames from Tom Ford. You won't blend into the crowd with these but they will conjur plenty of glamour and luxury whether riding the Tube or soaking up some Winter Sun in the Southern Hemisphere. With the pink tinted lenses they'll be sure to give you a rosy outlook through the winter months.

Designed and crafted in Italy, Persol is known for it's impeccable fit and incredible clarity. Blue lenses provide a calming hue that helps reduce strain and fatigue without blocking out blu light but do enhance the contours around objects and improve colour perception.

Pehaps the world's best known sunglasses brand, Ray-Ban have built their brand around icons. This metal frame sunglass is an update on the more traditional round frame. Again, with a blue gradient lens that is also ideally suited to snowy conditions.
Miu Miu, £321
We only envision the chicest of activities happening in these beautiful cut out and metal shades. Brown lenses are great for people who are particularly sensitive to light, taking the glare and brightness down a notch without having to go completely dark with a grey lens.

Nothing says Versace like a pair of Black and Gold sunglasses and these thick rimmed, oversized pair are no exception. Add in the golden yellow of the lenses and the iconic Medusa head sitting proudly on the temples and these might be the most Versace sunglasses ever. The yellow lenses are going to make your surroundings appear brighter, which is probably exactly what Versace want!

A classic Aviator shape sunglass with finishes of Tiffany's trademark blue paired with a blue lens that will work to improve colour, reduce glare and amplify contours whether sat by the pool or looking out over the snowy mountains.
