Unlike conventional mortars, the Dash mortar and pestle from Joseph Joseph features a stylish design and a reversible bamboo lid. This serves several functions: First, it keeps the mortar clean and dust-free during storage and provides a secure hold for the pestle with its deep channel. If you take it off and turn it around, the lid can be used as a storage surface for ingredients or even as a small cutting board.
