Although it's in the name. the Le Creuset 28cm Cast Iron Soup Pot in Flint is more than just a soup pot. This versatile piece of cookware can roast, fry and even bake your favourite meals. The sloped sides make it easy to stir and the cast iron construction ensures heat is spread evenly. Suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, the soup pot has a hygienic enamel surface that resists chipping, staining and dulling.

Wash your Le Creuset product in warm, soapy water; then rinse and dry thoroughly.

Cooking: Stay protected and always use oven gloves when handling anything hot.

We recommend using Le Creuset Silicone Tools or wooden/heat-resistant plastic tools. Avoid knocking utensils on the top rim of enamelled products to avoid damage. DO NOT use hand-held electric or battery-operated beaters or blenders, knives or sharp tools and implements inside enamelled cast iron pans, as they may damage the surface.

Use the product on the most appropriately sized hob ring. This is especially important on induction hobs.

Cooking on a medium or low heat gets the best results. Let the product heat up gradually and lower the setting once the desired heat has been reached.

You won’t need to season your Le Creuset cast iron but never heat your cast iron pans dry. For best results add water or oil and preheat your product on medium heat. Then go ahead and add your food. Don't leave the product unattended or allow the pan to boil dry.

For induction hob cooking, avoid using the boost function

Add salt to hot cooking liquid or food, not directly to your pan’s surface

When using under the grill, always allow at least a 6.5 cm gap between the heat source and the top of your product.

For best results, place your product on a shelf or rack. Never place your product on the floor of your oven.

Cleaning: Always cool the product for a few minutes before cleaning. Do not plunge it into or fill it with cold water when hot, excessive surface temperature changes may damage to the product.
