The William Morris at Home Kelmscott Navy Rose duvet set brings to life one of Morris’ most intriguing archive designs the unique Liverpool artwork authentically produced for the very first time. The original hand-painted silk, created in 1905 by Morris’ head designer John Henry Dearle, is held exclusively in the William Morris Gallery. This historic piece has been meticulously translated onto a luxurious cotton sateen base, capturing every intricate detail of its floral and foliate composition.
The Liverpool design is beautifully framed by a calming Lily Leaf pattern, adapted from the background of Morris’ 1874 Lily wallpaper, and bordered with motifs inspired by one of his frieze designs. Coloured in rich shades of navy, rose pink and linen, the reversible duvet set offers two refined styling options, celebrating the depth and diversity of the William Morris Gallery’s world-renowned archive.
